Question about CFL bulbs?

It seems now that when i buy a CFL bulb for my house and put it in, after a good 24 hours of use the color of the bulb seems to look more like an incandecent bulb. I bought these bulbs to match up to my original soft white incandecent bulbs and when i first put the CFL bulbs in they looked whiter. But now they are starting to look less white. can someone please explain this to me?
