Getting rid of a dermatitis rash?

help plzzzzzzzzz. my boyfriend has had a rash over different parts of his body, the doctor says its a dermatitis rash. he has had this rash over 4months now, been on antibiotics & steroid creams & the rash does go down put never goes & when the course is finished comes back. plz help tell me how to help him get rid of it.
